Admission is on a rolling basis, so students are stronly advised to audition/interview as early as possible.

Prior participation in the Junior Corps is helpful, but not required. Previous Shakespeare experience is also not required.

Admission to The Shakespeare Summer Sampler is on a first-come first-served basis. No audition required. Please use the the links below.

Admission to the SENIOR CORPS is by audition/interview only.
Auditions FOR NEW STUDENTS will be scheduled each spring from February - June. Students are asked to prepare one monologue (roughly one minute in length), preferably from a Shakespeare play.  (Monologues which are self-written or taken from a source other than a published play are not acceptable). For students who live outside New Jersey or are otherwise unable to audition in person, a phone interview combined with a letter of recommendation from a theatre teacher or director is an acceptable substitute for the audition.


15 minute audition slots are available from 3:30 p.m. - 5: 30 p.m. on the following dates:

Audition requirements: Students are asked to prepare (memorize) a 60-75 second Shakespeare monologue (in verse). We also ask that students bring a clean, printed copy of their monologue to the audition. If you have any questions about the audition process, please call us at 973-845-6745 or email

Please note:  Only students going from Junior Corps to Senior Corps, or brand new students to the Corps program will have to audition. If the student has already been in our Senior Corps program, they do not have to audition.

Once you have been accepted into the program, a registration form will be provided to you.
Payment in full is required upon enrollment. If you need to pay in installments, please contact us prior to returning the registration form.

All payments are non-refundable.
